Samsung announced its Galaxy flagship line: Most powerful smartphones on this planet

Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge were the most powerful and efficient smartphones of 2015 as they both were capable of doing great things. But there were some sacrifices by Samsung and customers were not happy about that. From the Galaxy S5, Samsung removed the Water-proofing and the removable micro SD slot and also S6 and S6 Edge have a lot smaller battery than before.

Today Samsung has launched a newer version of its Galaxy lineup, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. These smartphones have got the same but improved design and some incredible features that were missing from the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Micro SD slot

Micro SD slot is back in the S7 and S7 Edge and now these smartphones can support Micro SD card up to 200GB. The SD card slot is located on the top of the phone in the SIM card tray.

Camera

The camera is improved and compromised as it is now 12Mega Pixel sensor instead of 16MP we have seen in recent Samsung flagships but it is dramatically faster and better at taking photos and colors. It now has f1.7 aperture instead of the f1.9 aperture from the last GS6 and GS6 Edge.

Battery

The battery is also improved in the GS7 and GS7 Edge as they now have 3000mAh and 3,600mAh respectively.

OS

The operating system is latest in the GS7 and GS7 Edge as it has Android OS 6.0.1 Marshmallow themed with Touchwhiz and loaded with many bloatware applications including productivity apps from Microsoft.

WaterProofing 

Waterproofing was removed in the GS6 and GS6 Edge due to the design of both devices but Samsung has managed to make these devices waterproof internally. The GS7 and GS7 Edge both are IP68 water resistant and they can beat water for up to 30 Minutes.

Display

GS7 is featuring the same sized 5.1" Displays but the GS7 Edge has a 5.5" Display instead of %.1" of GS6 Edge. They both have Quad HD AMOLED display with improvements (Of course).

Processor & RAM

They both have an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip. They are 1.6GHz Quad-core+2.15GHz Quad-core processor with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM.
